	Service 'B-Set' This service was presented by Droog Design at The Inevitable Ornament, April 1998 in Milano. Its attraction lies in imperfection, imperfection that becomes an ornament. Minor manufacturing defects are viewed as decorative elements, so that every part of the service has its own identity, its own unique shape, or in Jongerius words: 'The clay itself determines the product.' 	Floor Tiles 'Drop' These 'water drops' spilt onto the floor simply refuse to disappear! In this design, ceramics and glass have been merged to create a unique 'drop effect'. No drop is the same, no tile is the same. The glass drops make sure you can't slip while also massaging your feet. 	Doorbell 'Bottoms Up' What we know as a doorbell is a square box that strangely enough says nothing about what a doorbell really is: an appliance consisting of an electromagnet, a hammer and two sound sources. In this design, crystal glasses make a pleasant sound, announcing guests with a musical toast. 	Soft Vase The airbubbles are not regarded as unavoidable flaws but exploited as an aesthetical element. Hella Jongerius says, 'Polyurethane is mostly used as a material for making moulds, which was what prompted me to start the 'rubber copies' project, restating existing forms in a new material.' 	Porcelain Lamp This lamp was born out of a dissatisfaction with the existing techniques, in this case the usual dichotomy of fitting and shade. 	Folding Bookcase 'We wanted to focus on the problem of designing a bookcase on the bookcase itself, not proceed from a particular technique or material. First there are the things to go in it, books in other words. You can choose then between leather and paper. And because we wanted to make the bookcase as thin as possible, we chose paper.
