VIVID Gallery is proud to present renowned Spanish designer Jaime Hayon’s first collection for porcelain company par excellence Lladro. Following his appointment as Artistic Director of the company last year Hayon has produced a truly innovative contemporary range of vases, candle holders and figurines in his own distinctive visual language.
His flamboyant style fuses a bold colour palette to witty and surrealist forms, a style he calls ‘Mediterranean Digital Baroque’. Ever the entertainer, Hayon plays with circus imagery, kitsch family groupings, streamlined fluid shapes, and even references himself with new versions of his Chicken Rocker and figures wearing his designs for Camper shoes.
The fusing of Hayon’s
magic of the unexpected with Lladro’s unsurpassable technical
expertise have created a modern updated range of figurines for the twenty
first century and beyond.
The Fantasy Collection
The creations in The Fantasy collection which Jaime Hayon has designed
for Lladró, mirror the perfect fusion between the artistic quality
of the Spanish porcelain brand and the playful, fantasy quality the
designer brings to his works. The balance between expression and function,
the studied combination of Lladró’s usual themes and the
magic of the unexpected that Hayon is known for, make these pieces truly
original objects that, over and above their decorative potential, awaken
a sense of fantasy in the beholder.

Metalarte and Hayon furniture for BD Barcelona Design
